About the job:

We’re seeking a Compliance Administrator to join our compliance team based at our head office in Ipswich.

As Compliance Administrator you will manage all day-today aspects of compliance for candidates and deal with all compliance queries from 3rd party agencies, candidates and internal Opus employees.

  • Assume responsibility and management of all day-to-day aspects of compliance for candidates.
  • Deal with all compliance queries from 3rd party agencies, candidates and internal Opus employees.
  • Management of the compliance inbox and phone line.
  • Clear understanding of data protection/GDPR legislation.
  • Ensuring workers do not start in a placement without compliance documentation being obtained.
  • Apply for DBS checks for applicants providing they have the correct documentation according to the Disclosure and barring services regulations and acceptable documents.
  • Ensure all workers compliance documents are maintained. Any with an expiry date must be monitored and obtained to ensure the most recent copy is held.
  • Applying for references and be familiar with referencing scenarios as to what is acceptable in line with our clients requirements
  • Update the CRM/database with all the relevant details and documents ensuring an audit trail is in place.
  • Ensuring all 3rd party agencies insurance documents are kept up to date, requesting new copies when required.
  • Challenge 3rd party agencies or internal staff when compliance documents are missing or not to the required standard.
  • Build good working relationships with client managers, 3rd party agencies on our supply chain and internal opus employees.
  • Assist consultants in candidate registrations, taking copies of all relevant / required documentation.
  • Excellent Communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to always produce accurate work which is clear and complete.
  • Being confident to challenge when documents/process in not correct.
  • Working flexibly in a fast-paced role.
  • Being proactive and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Strong team player.
  • Believe in and deliver the Opus values.
  • Previous experience of a compliance role together with a good knowledge of compliance legislation.
  • Understanding of the confidentiality requirements of working in a recruitment and compliance team.
  • Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
  • Strong organisational, written and verbal skills, able to multitask.
