About the job:

We are seeking Care Technology Advisors to join a team for an exciting new care technology contract in Suffolk.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who can help in their mission to improve people’s quality of life and independence every day.

These services allow people to remain in their homes, which helps prevent extended hospital stays, allowing the NHS to deliver frontline care where it is needed most. Care Technology Advisors are a pivotal part of the success of the service they provide.

Drivers License with use of own care is needed as role will involve travel to locations in Suffolk and Head Office in Colchester occasionally.

Shifts can include Monday – Friday, weekends and nights so flexibility is important.

  • Completing person centred, strength and outcomes based assessments for people who have been referred to the Suffolk Technology Service (This will be done with professional support and supervision from an Occupational Therapist).
  • You will also deliver, collect, install and demonstrate, repair and maintain care technology. This will be done in people’s own homes across the county, travelling by driving to different locations. You will support people of all ages to maintain their health and wellbeing, including those people who are leaving hospital or to prevent the need for them to use other health and social care support. You will also be supporting unpaid carers to carry on caring for friends and family.
  • Day to day management of stock – Set up / repair / collection of care technology in people’s own homes. This could also include supporting them to use their own mobile and smart home technology, apps, etc as needed. – Ability to move and track equipment in and stock movements through our computerised bar code scanner system.
  • Responding to activations, visiting clients at home, installing standard telecare equipment.
  • To provide advice, assessments, installations and maintenance of care technology, working closely with key stakeholders. Testing and programming of tech.
  • Carry out risk assessments; provide advice and assistance to ensure the client’s safety and wellbeing referring them, if necessary, to appropriate services for assistance.
  • Team worker with excellent communication skills
  • Health and Social Care qualifications – Desirable
  • Level 2 Introduction to Technology Enabled Care or equivalent – Desirable
  • Telecare CPD Essential Experience
  • Effective organisation and time management skills
  • Organised and diligent
