About the job:

We are currently seeking a Apprenticeships and Qualifications Manager to join the team at Northamptonshire County Council on a full time basis for an initial 12 weeks.

You will be responsible for developing our customers understanding of apprenticeship and support them to maximise the opportunities and benefits from their apprenticeship levy.  This will require a change management approach and determination to overcome obstacles pragmatically in order to support a shift in mind set and culture to achieve an increase of apprenticeship take up as we transform our Councils in Northamptonshire.

 

We are looking for a person with a solid L&D Apprenticeships and Management background. You will have proven experience:

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Up to date knowledge of apprentice/skills development best practice
  • The drive  to successfully deliver effective apprentice/training activities in multiple environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience of working to influence and introduce new approaches
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • IT literate with a solid knowledge of Microsoft office and e-learning technology
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of training providers as well as leading an in house training provider following all due compliance to meet UKPRN standards

The candidate will be experienced in both apprenticeship levy management and quality & compliance requirements being an apprenticeship training provider brings.  You will be a strong team manager who can build on the opportunities created through apprenticeships, shape and expand the emerging apprenticeship strategy further across a range of functions to meet our future talent needs as we bring together transformation in our new organisations.
