About the job:

We’re seeking an enthusiastic, creative and organised individual to join our team at Opus as an Apprentice Marketing Assistant and support in delivering the day – to – day marketing activities of our busy Ipswich based recruitment agency.

Working alongside our Marketing Executive, you will support with the delivery of customer focused marketing across multiple channels including social media, email marketing and events, with the aim to increase brand awareness of our company to both candidates and clients, drive candidate registrations and support with the wider corporate growth strategy.

As part of this role, you will undertake the Marketing Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification.

  • Support the marketing executive in delivering the day-to-day marketing activities, in line with the marketing strategy and plan
  • Manage social media channels and contribute to the wider social media plan, creating engaging content including blogs, graphics and videos to be shared across social media channels and on the company website
  • Work with members of the recruitment team to understand areas of recruitment need and develop targeted campaigns to support this
  • Assist with planning and attending internal and external company events including job fairs, sector specific events and charity events
  • Support with monitoring marketing KPIs and contribute to monthly and quarterly marketing reports using reporting tools, including Google Analytics
  • General upkeep of the company website, reviewing job adverts, updating content, uploading blog posts and assessing for development opportunities to enhance the user experience
  • Plan and create marketing emails, surveys and other communications to clients, suppliers, workers and Opus staff as directed, collating responses in an appropriate report
  • Monitor the stock of marketing collateral and source new items, negotiate prices etc. when needed
  • Research and contribute ideas towards company award submissions and press releases
  • Assist with branding of company documents, often at short notice with tight deadlines
  • Assist with the design and creation of company marketing materials, including leaflets and banners
  • Contribute to internal communications including the fortnightly roundup email and health and wellbeing activities
  • Strong interest in marketing and desire to pursue this as a future career
  • Excellent communicator
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Able to prioritise work and work effectively under pressure
  • Creative and an eye for detail (the role will involve lots of proof reading)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with using media software. Basic experience using Adobe Creative Cloud products (InDesign, Photoshop, Premier Pro) would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Able to work collaboratively to achieve better outcomes for the business
