We are seeking an experienced Head of Kitchen to lead the catering team and ensure the provision of healthy, nutritious meals for pupils. This role involves managing kitchen operations, maintaining food safety standards, and supervising staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare balanced, nutritious meals in line with school guidelines
- Manage kitchen staff and allocate daily tasks
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels and order supplies as required
- Maintain accurate records for allergens, temperatures, and cleaning schedules
- Promote a positive dining experience for pupils
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a similar role within a catering environment
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Must hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one
