About the Role:
The Suffolk Youth Justice Service (SYJS) is a multi-agency partnership working to prevent youth offending, protect the public, and support the wellbeing and future aspirations of young people. SYJS also engages with parents, carers, and victims of youth crime.
As Assistant Team Manager, you will support the Operations Manager in delivering specialist programmes and managing multi-agency teams. You'll play a key role in service delivery, staff management, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the operational delivery of multi-agency teams and specialist programmes (e.g., Sexually Harmful Behaviour Service)
- Provide line management for employed and seconded staff from partner agencies
- Lead on developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., police, probation, courts)
- Take responsibility for specific areas of practice or project delivery
- Deputise for the Operations Manager when required
Skills:
- Experience working within Youth Justice
- Qualified Social Worker, Youth Justice or Probation experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong leadership and partnership working skills
