About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Youth Offending Team (YOT) Worker to join our Youth Justice Service.
This is a hybrid role requiring flexibility to work across Northamptonshire and occasionally travel out of county to support children placed in care or custodial establishments.
You will hold a caseload of children aged 10-18 who have committed offences and are subject to Youth Justice involvement through court orders, bail, or remand.
Location: Northamptonshire
Rate: £33 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Youth Justice assessments and manage risk, safety, and wellbeing concerns.
- Work directly with children across Northamptonshire and occasionally out of county.
- Attend court hearings and represent the service when required.
- Manage court orders and complete Asset Plus assessments.
- Provide updates in meetings and Referral Order panels.
- Accurately assess and respond to risk, safety, and wellbeing concerns.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of offending behaviour in children and Youth Justice legislation.
- Ability to travel across Northamptonshire and beyond when necessary.
- Experience in managing caseloads and working within Youth Justice frameworks.
- Excellent communication and assessment skills.
