Job description

Opus People Solutions on behalf of North Northamptonshire are looking for a Splash PoolPark/Toilet Attendant to facilitate the general running of the Splash Park, the Embarkment in Wellingborough

The ideal candidate will have customer service experience and a personality suited to dealing face to face with members of the public at the Splash park. Training is fully provided and we would consider job share for shifts and flexibility.

Principle Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for the locking and unlocking of the park facilities.
  • To act as North Northamptonshire Councils representative on site, when the Splash Park and associated facilities are open.
  • To monitor the general behaviour of visitors to ensure it is acceptable.
  • To ensure the water park surface and surrounding environment is free from any dangerous sharp objects (glass, plastic etc.) and to use the equipment provided to clear natural debris.
  • To check and maintain plant on site in accordance with the daily maintenance sheet.
  • To ensure litter bins are in place and regularly emptied including general litter picking.
  • To wash down play surface with equipment provided at suitable intervals as instructed.
  • To oversee access for those carrying out maintenance and repair of equipment as needed.
  • To maintain all logs and records as required.
  • Demonstrate awareness / understanding of equal opportunities and other peoples behavioural, physical, social and welfare needs.
  • Ensure that reasonable care is taken at all times for the health, safety and welfare of yourself and other persons, to comply with the policies and procedures relating to health and safety within the department.
  • Carry out other duties which fall within the broad spirit, scope and purpose of this job description and which are commensurate with the grade of the post.

Additional Information

  • DBS is required for this role and First Aid and Safeguarding training will be provided
  • This is initially a casual seasonal position until September and will require someone flexible to work weekends as well.
  • Shifts are 11am - 5pm or 11am - 7pm during the height of the summer
