Job description
Opus People Solutions have an exciting opportunity for a strong Administrator to join the Children's Social Care Legal team at Milton Keynes Council for an initial 2 month contract either working from home or office based.
As an Administrator you will be assisting the Principal and Lawyers in a wide range of matters relevant to your area of work including:
- Undertaking legal research
- Liaising with client departments within the Council and with third parties.
- Preparing on behalf of others legal documents including briefs to Counsel, summons, court applications etc.
- Preparing and distribute court bundles using the Case Management System.
- Attending and contributing to regular team meetings.
Key skills desirable:
- Experience working in a legal environment.
- Experience of drafting legal documents.
- Experience of undertaking legal research
Key skills essential:
- Willingness to undertake training in specific areas of Law.
- Ability to work within strict deadlines
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to plan and manage own workload.
