Job description

Opus People Solutions have an exciting opportunity for a strong Administrator to join the Children's Social Care Legal team at Milton Keynes Council for an initial 2 month contract either working from home or office based.

As an Administrator you will be assisting the Principal and Lawyers in a wide range of matters relevant to your area of work including:

  • Undertaking legal research
  • Liaising with client departments within the Council and with third parties.
  • Preparing on behalf of others legal documents including briefs to Counsel, summons, court applications etc.
  • Preparing and distribute court bundles using the Case Management System.
  • Attending and contributing to regular team meetings.

Key skills desirable:

  • Experience working in a legal environment.
  • Experience of drafting legal documents.
  • Experience of undertaking legal research

Key skills essential:

  • Willingness to undertake training in specific areas of Law.
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to plan and manage own workload.
