Opus People Solutions on behalf of Milton Keynes Council are recruiting for a Home Ownership Assistant to join their team on a temporary contract

Overall purpose of the role:

  • Provide a compliant, customer focussed service to our homeownership customers (leaseholders, shared owners and right to buy applicants).
  • Provide an effective administration function to the team around property sales (RTB), re-sales, preparation of service charge invoices and the delivery of obligations contained within leases.
  • Be a key first point of contact for our customers and understand, and be able to explain, the responsibilities of both home owners and the Council in jargon free language.
  • Maintaining full and accurate records of legal documents and correspondence relating to the Councils' home ownership properties and developments.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work well in a team as well as being confident to use own initiative. Able to use digital ways of working to their best advantage and have excellent IT skills and understanding.
  • Be a key contact for the staff within MKC and other stakeholders in relation to the Councils' home ownership offer; escalating complex issues as required to the Home Ownership Officers and/or Manager.
