If so, Opus People Solutions on behalf of North Northamptonshire Council are seeking to recruit a temporary caretaker to facilitate the smooth running of East Northamptonshire House in Thrapston.

As a caretaker, you will work alongside the Maintenance Supervisor and receive guidance. You will be required to support the Facilities Team and provide cover when staff are on leave, as we need to have a facilities team member on-site at all times. You may be required to work some evenings when a full council meeting is held.

Main duties detailed below - although not exhaustive:

• Flying the Flag
• Sounding the weekly Fire Alarm
• Managing the Intruder Alarm
• Meet/greet and assist contractors to undertake tasks in the building
• Undertake small repair works
• Replenishing toilet rolls/soap etc
• Responding to staff maintenance requests either verbal or via FM email box
• Ensure the corridors and fire routes are kept clear
• Monitoring the FM email box - responding as appropriate
• Preparing layout of meeting rooms as per booking requests

The ideal candidate must "Contribute Towards Ensuring a Safe and Legal Environment", has been responsible for a building or undertaken a similar role and can demonstrate an understanding of COSHH & Health & Safety procedures within a building environment.

Additional Information

• Working hours are Monday - Friday- 07:30 to 15:00
• Office based-East Northamptonshire House in Thrapston
• This position is initially temporary basis for 3 months
• Ideally candidates will be available to start ASAP
